Mrs. Louisa G Lindloff a self styled seeress in Filmore street police station cell proclaims communication with alleged victims via a $500 crystal quoting messages from her son Arthur and pledging exoneration. Police probe poisoning theory behind Alma Lindloff death and insurance links while Mme Hupka who sold the crystal to Mrs Lindloff is questioned about purchase date and price.
Late news from Gage and Lancaster counties reports one confirmed death and another likely fatality after last night’s tornado. Mrs John Ideus died when her Adams home collapsed. her daughter was fatally injured. Emil Keller’s dwelling near Hallam was destroyed but his family escaped unharmed. The storm damaged barns and telegraph lines as it moved southeast past Cortland.
In Oakley Kansas on June 15 Paul Dallas Logie Christensen and Henry and Roy Phillips aged 9 to 14 drowned while trying to save Dallas who was drowning in a creek near the town. The tragedy left the four youths dead and a failed rescue.
