Two bandits entered Edmund G Bennett Inc contractors at 31 East Court Street and seized about $1100 from the weekly payroll. They held three employees at gunpoint in the cellar then fled in an expensive touring car with two accomplices waiting on Prior Street. The crime targeted the Friday payroll between 3 and 6 pm as workers collected their wages.
