Five Battery C soldiers rushed William Atherton's home in Columbus Ohio tonight firing at two fleeing boarders who had laughed at them in a passing automobile. Atherton complained to General McMahen who said the men would be dealt with tomorrow. In Linden a mob abducted a motorman and conductor, burned the car, four nonunion men were stoned at the West Side barns, and police and soldiers dispersed the crowd. Tonight marked the worst rioting since the car strike began.
