RINGS TAKEN FROM BOAT RECOVERED
Three diamond rings valued at 3500 disappeared from a steamer Island Queen restroom last Wednesday night. Detectives Tebbe and McCorkill recovered them after arresting Mrs Dorothy Stitt age 23 of 612 East Fifth street. Miss Marie Wells owner of the rings identified them and said she left them to wash her hands. The owner advertised for the loss when the crowd was asked to return the items. Mrs Stitt claimed she did not hear the announcement and had kept the diamonds believing the owner would advertise.
