In North Platte Nebraska July 13 a mob formed after Edward Green a policeman was shot and killed by Louis Seelman a negro and Seelman later killed himself. A raid force ordered negro residents to leave town and many departed by car train and on foot as tensions rose. patrols increased and gunfire preceded a fire set at Seelman’s trapdoor room.
