A Cincinnati man W S Merrith driving from 2213 Florence avenue collided with another car at Front and Beech streets Newport Kentucky. Merrith lost the other driver's number and left the scene. His vehicle then smashed a water trough and drove through the saloon window owned by C G Lekerle. Inside were two men two women and two children. One child was cut by flying glass.
