Yesterday's scores include Boston 5 Cincinnati 1, Philadelphia 2 Pittsburg 0, Chicago 7 Brooklyn 1, and New York 5 6 St Louis 3 6. The standing table shows Chicago leading the National League with 17 wins and a .764 percentage, followed by New York, Cleveland, and Pittsburg, among others.

Chicago defeats Philadelphia 5 to 1 as White dominates with men on base. Sheridan ejects Hahn for throwing bat in third. Also, Indianapolis tops Milwaukee 7 to 1 behind Kellum and Goodwin pitched game.
Robertson pitched and powered Evansville to a 3 1 win over Wheeling in Wheeling. Pollard and Dunn handled the battery for Wheeling with Robertson driving in a run and hitting another.
Terre Haute defeated Canton 8 to 0 as they bunched hits in the second and ninth innings. Minor pitched a hitless game to locals, while batteries were Minor and Goodman for Terre Haute and J. Myers Brittsen and Holmes for Canton.
St Louis defeated Washington 5 to 4 in the final game of the series. Perrine was hit in the head in the second inning and received medical attention. Hickman homered and doubled for St Louis, with Niles and Pickering adding two-base hits as the lineup produced key runs.
The fourth annual Glidden and Hower trophy tour begins tomorrow morning with 100 cars and about 500 participants. The first car leaves at 7 a.m. and each subsequent car follows a minute apart. Miss Evelyn Sears of Boston, the new national women’s tennis champion, is invited to a special series against Miss May Sutton of Great Britain at the Tristate tournament in the city late next month. The match would crown an international title with a prize for the winner if arranged. Sutton has promised to play. Sears has not yet answered, though the committee was told she is willing.
Sunday double header at N C T V Park features Bowlers and Actives racing for first place at 1 15 and Blues against Bears at 3 00. Cincinnati Bell Telephone beat Central Union 8 0 in Dayton with Hoff and Monahan stellar.
