New York July 7. Gustave Heckscher eighty one year old philanthropist married Virginia Henry Curtiss fifty six widow of Edwin Curtiss last Wednesday after obtaining a license at Peekskill. The pair left for a motor trip through the Adirondacks. Heckscher has funded child welfare and slum elimination and once funded the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children before clashing with its executives. He later endowed the Heckscher foundation housing eight hundred children at Peekskill. An inquiry into his S P C A charges found the allegations unsubstantiated. The President will be asked about a meeting with Mr Huston at tomorrow's press conference.
