Special dispatch from New York reports a wireless message confirming no bombs aboard the Cunard Line Saxonia. The terror plot linked to Frank Holt alias Erich Muenter involved planned dynamite attacks on transatlantic liners with nearly 1,000 people aboard, while authorities hunted for missing explosives and reviewed related bomb cases aboard ships from New York to Havre.

A tornado and cloudburst hit St Louis and St Charles counties causing more than half a million dollars in damage. The storm killed several, with reports of a woman and child missing after the St Charles Borromeo Church demolition. Wentzville Gilmore and Montgomery City suffered fatalities and wrecked homes as the Wabash bridge was destroyed and a Kansas City bound passenger train derailed four cars.
Arch bishop James Edward Quigley of Chicago remains between life and death at his brother’s Rochester home. Early reports say he continues to sink and no hope is offered after consultation with Dr. Frank McGuire of Buffalo and the attending physicians.
A cyclonic storm last night near 9 30 left twenty three dead and scores injured. Rescue teams worked at 3 00 this morning among hospitals listing multiple victims including Mrs Charlotte Breinstein Stella Dix and Charles Griffith all with injuries while others suffer scalp wounds head injuries and broken limbs at Seton and City Hospitals.
