Japan Aid For Rebels Suspected In Mexican Crisis

Dispatches from Washington and Marion Indiana report Japanese assistance to Mexican rebels under General Orozco may be sought via arms and supplies. Officials fear prolonged suppression of the revolt as rebels aim to seize a Sonora seaport to enable shipments. In Marion a picnic special collided head on with a tramcar, killing four and injuring many, including National Guard musicians and civilians. some robbing incidents followed the wreck.

Four Die in Grabow Labor Riot Near Lake Charles

Four men died and four were seriously wounded in a clash between union and non union timber workers and mill guards at Grabow Louisiana. A 200 member union party led by A L Emerson traveled from Deerider to hold a meeting amid a strike. The mill employs about sixty workers.

Three Lose Lives as Dock at Point Breeze Collapses

Rotten boards of a dock at Point Breeze on Plum Island gave way tonight as fifty people crowded to board a launch to Sheepshead Bay. Three of the fifty fell into the water and drowned. The dead are Samuel Cohen nine, James Fox of 472 Warren Street Brooklyn, and Susan Grossman fifteen of 343 Bedford Avenue Brooklyn.

BUBONIC PLAGUE REPORTS IN HAVANA

No new bubonic cases are found in Havana as of July 7. The hospitalized Spaniard at Las Animas hospital is believed to be dying. Authorities continue aggressive fumigation around the affected area and maintain vigilance against further spread.

Tragedy on Bronx Street as Girl Found Dead

Julia Connors 12 vanished on a crowded Bronx street Saturday evening and was found naked with stab wounds in a vacant lot near 3872 Third Avenue. Detectives tied the crime to a killer who abducted her from near Church of Our Lady of Victory and suspect an Italian maniac used a stiletto to deliver multiple wounds before fleeing.

Blinded by dust driver wrecks auto at Driving Park

At Driving Park Fort Wayne Indiana July 7 John Raimey driving an Ohio nine nine plowed through the outer fence in a three mile race injuring a fractured rib and cuts. He was taken to a local hospital. Burman defended the Brassard trophy and lowered the local mile to 0 56 1 2 eclipsing Barney Oldfield's mark.
