Marshall J. Williams chief justice of the Supreme Court died at his Columbus home at 1 am. He was born in Fayette County sixty six years ago and was elected to the bench in 1886 with later re elections. Diabetes caused his death after health decline and he had recently declined a renomination. Prior to the Supreme Court he served two terms as Circuit Judge.
