Gettysburg Pa July 2 In the Gettysburg Hotel restaurant several men abused Lincoln provoking a fight during which Sergeant Edward T Carroll US Army was stabbed and David Farber of the state police was stabbed in the left breast both seriously. Seven men were stabbed one man was arrested. The veteran escaped injury and vanished.
