Lexington June 30 The Fayette County Fiscal Court has decided to replace the damaged courthouse with an entirely new building at an estimated cost of about 385000.

Mrs Leura McCreery tending to her dying husband in Santville Ov June 30 was badly burned when a home remedy mixture of lard turpentine and camphor ignited her clothing. The accident occurred as she tried to comfort him, leaving her fatally scorched.
Worthington was seized with cholera morbus last night in Frankfort Kentucky and for several hours friends feared for his life. He is improved this morning and expected to recover from the sudden illness.

A May 6 couple supposedly husband and wife appeared. the man deaf and dumb claimed invention of a new hearing speaking device and planned a river trip to St Louis. They left May 10 on a boat. Sherman has heard nothing since.
Friends of R. M. Scruggs of St. Louis argued at the Treasury Department that his diamonds entered the country through ignorance of the law. Assistant Secretary Howell heard the case and delayed action until an official report from the United States Attorney is received.
Special Dispatch reports from Louisville Kentucky that at 2 20 a morning John H Milliken district passenger agent of the L and N faced a burglar in the Milliken home at 2106 Brook street. Six shots were fired two by Milliken and four by the burglar before the intruder fled. The burglar is described as a burly negro.

Dan Curry of Harrodsburg was brought before County Judge Rose in Williamsburg Kentucky for an examining trial over the shooting death of John Corley of Louisville.
