Noted Cincinnati Physician Dr E G Zinke Dies in Florida
Dr E Gustav Zinke 76 of Romaine Building Clifton died in Palm Beach Florida where he had gone to recover from his wife's death. He faced a life of hardship as a German immigrant who deserted a naval ship and learned English while rising to prominence as an obstetrician and educator. He founded the German Deaconess Hospital and served as president of the Academy of Medicine and secretary of the American Obstetric and Gynecological Society. The body will be shipped to Cincinnati for funeral services at the home of his son in law Dr William Muhlberg.
