London Depot Ky January 28 Craig Gregg a well known jail inmate in the area married tonight to Mrs Johnson a widow. He has cycled through every jail and prison in the neighborhood twice. Mrs Johnson courted him for four days and plans to seek his release from jail.
Correspondence reveals Bishop Horstman demanded sisters wear plain clothes or leave the hospital. Bishop Phelan confirms they arrived without Mother Superior approval. Trustees say sisters will remove garb but stay in charge of the hospital.
Marie Cicotte Wilson and her mother had run a high state of affairs in Toledo as inmates. Wilson was jailed on a perjury warrant sworn by Superintendent Frank Beckwith of the Toledo Work house. She claimed he and his family attempted to poison her with sulfuric acid in milk. The mother asked to join her in jail but was denied.
In Middlesborough Kentucky three masked attackers broke into Tom Jacksons home on Wallens Creek in Harlan County after a land dispute with Will Wright. They battered the door dragged Jackson outside and beat him. Jacksons wife fired her shotgun killing Wright and wounding another assailant who fled. The attackers identity remains unknown.
