General Joseph Wheeler, famed Confederate cavalry leader and later U S Army officer, died at 5 35 this afternoon at his sister's Brooklyn home at age 89 after pneumonia and pleurisy. Mob Burns Jail Doors Demanding Prisoner in Chattanooga
