Two more fatal auto accidents raise the year’s toll in Hamilton County to twelve. In Reading Ohio Gayle Sutherland 38 of North Vernon Indiana died after being struck by a southbound car driven by J C Washburn of Westchester Ohio near the Pennsylvania Railroad crossing. He suffered a fractured skull and leg and died an hour later. Washburn’s bond was set at five thousand dollars on a manslaughter charge. The second death involved a motorcycle crash in Cincinnati in front of 1218 East Front street. Thomas Rupard 20 of 1401 Race Street died after the motorcycle collided with a taxicab driven by Peter Marx of 223 East Thirteenth Street. Rupard suffered a fractured skull and hip and multiple leg fractures. Marx was released.
