Sanford ends life after struggle with despair
Louis A. Sanford 37, of Fiat II Ortiz building Fourth and Sycamore streets, died by carbolic acid after a prolonged battle with illness and hopelessness. The firm of Sanford Warner & Co. employed him. his father found the body. Dr. Webb and Coroner Coe handled the case. a farewell note to his father explained his decision. Balloon flight to test 2 3/4 pound routing auto
Lieutenant Ik. E. Honeywell will conduct a cross country balloon test using a 2 3/4 pound routing automobile as a base from Pedro Park on Sunday afternoon. Neptune Collier Launched at Sparrows Point Yard
The Neptune, a naval collier and sister to Cyclops, was launched today at Maryland Steel Co. Sparrows Point. Miss Dorothy Loud christened the vessel with a wine bottle. The ship, largest built near Baltimore, has a 12,500 ton coal capacity, 542 foot length, 65 foot beam, and 39.6 foot depth, and will feature new turbine engines.
