Officer Rescues Woman From Betts Street Fire
Four horses died in a fire that destroyed Henry Burman’s livery and boarding stable at 704 Betts Street. Proves Hulsman Was a Bigamist
The late Dr. F. M Hulsman of this city was proven a bigamist when Attorney Louis F Dolle received a German deposition stating the first wife is still living. The death of Dr Hulsman's second wife followed his own death. Dolle said he paid $2,000 of his estate to his widow in Germany, while creditors denied a second wife existed. Hulsman was a longtime prominent physician in Over-the-Rhine and the deposition shows he left Germany due to debts and kept up correspondence with his first wife.

Thirty-Five Escape After Ice Break Maraud on Raisin River

Seventeen Hurt In Mine Car Crash In Kentucky
In Middlesboro Kentucky a cable car carrying seventeen Excelsior mine workers jumped the track halfway up the mountain. Fifteen were seriously hurt and two miners Sam Hilton and Tom Vance are likely to die. The crash was caused by the cable catching under a fishplate.
