Earthquake Hits Kingston but North Side Escapes Damage

Special Dispatch reports Allen Ainslie of Ainslie & Grabow in Boston notes Kingston was jolted by a quake with fires in the city, while the north side housing the Titchfield Hotel escaped damage. Dr. George H. Bridgman, former American Consul, says the consulate is led by W. H. Orrett and Jamaica natives serve as secretaries. about 100 Americans reside in Kingston amid a slow tourist season.
