Bandit Gang Robs Covington and Newport Kroger Stores
A trio robbed Kroger stores in Covington and Newport within 90 minutes shifting between Sixteenth and Greenup in Covington and Keturah and Isabella in Newport. They looted cash from registers totaling about $146 while a masked lookout waited in the car. Police traced the bandits across the Twelfth Street Bridge as they fled toward Newport.
