Contempt case against Hallam Gase continues to Wednesday. Theodore Hallam remains dis barred. Sidney G Stricker fined and jailed with appeal to the U S Court. Stricker’s case shifted to Louisville. Harvey Myers returns and denies all charges. Brisk legal battle between former partners with conflicting bribery testimony. Hodge of Newport frequently mentioned as Hallam’s objections are overruled. Finish not in sight.
Judge Tarvin in Covington ordered Cincinnati lawyer Sidney G. Stricker jailed for contempt after failing to pay a 25 dollar fine. Wright of Cincinnati had his fine remitted after claiming he was a mere spectator. The episode marks a dramatic first for Ohio in Kentucky’s contempt proceedings.
The Hallam case faced repeated postponements as Judge Tarvin delayed trial citing absence and illness. Hallam pressed for a special judge from the Kenton County bar, while attorneys Stricker and Wright urged immediate action. Reception followed at Nash home.
James Lundy, owner of two large ostriches for the Knights of the Golden Eagle fair in Anderson Indiana, was attacked in the open pen by the largest bird. A desperate fight followed as Lundy was rescued by men with clubs and pitchforks. The bird struck three men senseless during the melee.

Principal ister and John Clayton, senior class member, fought in a recitation room. The teacher was badly battered and Clayton was also injured. Flor e Gillespie fainted and had to be taken home as twenty five seniors stood on the floor in solidarity with Clayton.
