Robber Steals Gems From Greenwald Store Window
Patrick Toga alias Gospel Pat of St Louis smashed a Greenwald diamond store window at 614 Race street and seized jewels worth about 10 000. He was chased by bystanders, tackled by George Stephens, and captured with injuries before police and detectives took him to the hospital. He admitted the theft and linked other heists in Cincinnati and Cleveland while claiming to have sold goods in New York. Benjamin Greenwald offered 300 reward for his capture.
