London faces another high tide flood after yesterday’s disaster left fourteen dead. Police, residents, and a flying squad guard flooded streets near Parliament, Tate Gallery damage totals rise, and hospitals report limited danger with no confirmed figures yet.
A Kansas farmhouse near Augusta burned killing Harry F. Miller, 45, and three of his children Opal 12 Raymond 7 Bernice 6. Mrs. Miller injured. two older children James 16 Lulu 17 escaped from a second story room. Fire likely started by Raymond using kerosene to ignite the furnace before dawn.
In Brown's Corners, Ohio, January 7, Joe Senak once of Cleveland was burned to death when a farmhouse belonging to Joseph Tidvilisa burned last night. The blaze leveled the structure and authorities investigated the cause.
A motorized beer saloon with two tenders was halted by federal agents in Cleveland. The rolling dispensary carried a half filled beer barrel and a cooling system, found at a busy street intersection after agents trailed it from a quiet street.

George Thompson of Ireland died in Lurgan County Armagh after thirty years in bed. He never left his bed as an adult, supported by his mother who later entered the workhouse with him. Authorities noted he could not leave but remained in bed until death.

Col. Charles A. Lindbergh landed at San Jose after a dramatic approach with crowds pressing the field. Three armed men robbed the Bennett Bank near Asheboro North Carolina today and escaped with four thousand dollars after forcing cashier J A P Purvis and assistant cashier Keller Andrews into the vault. Both clerks were later released.
