Boston reports three crewmen from the sunken Bombay saved by the whaleback Bayview during a storm. Captain J. Leesman Tony Lawrence and Martina Lawence reached safety after a large wave capsized the Bombay boat. Two crewmen Antone Ferrara and Antone Lopez perished.

Friedman, born in Warsaw over eighty years ago, was the oldest member, a mother of eleven and great-grandmother to seventy-four. Dr S A Van Hoefen Jr uses skin from multiple beagle pups to cover the wounds. Overall goal is to save the child's life with extensive grafts, with additional pups sought as supplies run short.
