Cincinnati police cited motorists for driving with 1928 licenses as the traffic bureau was closed and exact court counts were unavailable. California Ape Man To Plead Guilty To Slaying Children

Train Sides Car in Minnesota. Four Die Among Winona Residents
A westbound Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Pacific fast mail train struck an automobile in Minnesota City Minnesota early today. Three occupants John Schumanski 38 Iona Weber 19 and Gladys Stolz 21 were killed instantly. Gertrude Page 21 died later with one injured critically. All four occupants are from Winona. The driver apparently backed onto the tracks while trying to turn around.

Pottsville Pa Jan 1 Rabbi Herman Beck of Oheb Zedek Reformed Congregation resigns as National Chaplain of the American Legion citing health reasons.
