December 31 1925 Cincinnati grain and hay markets close with wheat prices easing while cash values drop modestly. No. 1 red winter and other grades fall slightly as offerings rise. corn oats and hay also soften with subdued demand and end of year stock conditions.
Chicago December 31 butter market stays steady with limited trading. Buyers hold off to conserve stocks. Fresh 92 score quoted at 47c per pound. centralized car lots 90 score between 44 and 44 1/2 cents.
Stock prices show Armour preferred and Balaban & Katz down while Middle West and Swift & Co. rise. Real Silk and United States Gypsum dividend listed. Union Carbide and United Light and Power show modest gains. West German? No. Note: Wahi listed at 9 percent.
Official New York Curb transactions show broad activity across rail, oil, metals and utilities. Major names include Durant Motors, Electric and Gas companies, Marconi, Ford Motor, Goodyear, U.S. Steel and Penn. Oil among others with varied bid and ask ranges as year closes.
