Cassatt Dies Suddenly at 67 Head of Pennsylvania Railroad
Alexander Johnston Cassatt president of the Pennsylvania Railroad and head of six other companies died suddenly in Philadelphia from heart disease. He was 67, suffered a Stokes Adams syndrome attack, and his death sent shock through markets and company offices. He had been ill for a year after a whooping cough and cold in Bar Harbor.

In Dundee Scotland a railroad collision near Arfreutt on the North British line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen left sixteen dead and more than thirty injured. Among the wounded is MP Alexander William Black. The crash followed heavy snow as signals failed or were blocked, and an express train plowed into a waiting one after the line was cleared.

Express Robbery Hits Gingin nat
Thieves looted an American Express wagon on Euclid Avenue at East Twentieth Street in Cleveland Ohio yesterday and stole women’s evening gowns and other apparel valued at 325 dollars. Three large packages from a cleaning and dyeing works were taken including dresses coats gloves and a petticoat belonging to Mrs Beckstein of Cincinnati. A separate package was for Mrs Stewart Shillito of Cincinnati and police say the goods valued more than the estimate.

Ward Blossom Lands in SNL
Ward Blossom, son of the late Dr. Albert Blossom of Miamisburg, appeared in Dayton to protest his uncle Miles Blossom’s appointment as administrator of his father’s estate.
