Washington December 27 The program details the schedule for the President's New Year's reception with times and honored groups. It covers Cabinet and Diplomatic Corps at 11 a.m. then Supreme Court and federal judges, Congress members, militia, and finally Smithsonian officials and veterans associations before a citizen reception at 12:35 p.m.
Amsterdam December 27 A conference between Rev Dr Broekhuysen and Boer leaders decides to send C M Wessels to the United States in January bearing a letter from Mr Kruger to President Roosevelt. Wessels former chairman of the Orange Free State Raad previously visited the United States in May 1900 with A Fischer and A Wolmarans.
