Woman beaten and robbed by suspect in Covington street attack
Bertha Ewing of Covington reported that Harry E Barnes assaulted her and stole a dollar bill near Pleasant Street. A chasing crowd led to Barnes being arrested by officers O'Conner and Frank J Allison. Police found no weapons and charged Barnes with loitering.

Car collision injures driver amid eastbound street crash
In an eastbound collision at Fourth Street with a Smith Street crossing yesterday Joseph Harrigan, driver of the Re, was thrown from his seat as Ladder Company No. 1 responded. Harrigan suffered an ankle injury and bruises, was removed to the city hospital, with the truck and car damaged in the mishap.
