Detectives found 8110 dollars hidden under mattresses in a room rented by Hohl at a Vine Street house. The cash was linked to prior bank robberies investigated by authorities.
Detectives recovered two thirds of Frank G. Hohl’s plunder from a Vine Street room after a renter’s unknown disappearance. $8,110 lay under beds with a $4,550 still missing tied to Provident Bank theft. The cache included a tan suitcase and a small black grip, and a large caliber revolver was found. The loot suggests mail to a Louisville lawyer and a staged, meticulous plan.
Princeton University considers a second term military course after a petition gained support from nearly five hundred students. If approved, the government will send an army officer, provide rifles and gear, and uniforms will be bought by students at a nominal cost.
