Dr Sidonio Paes, president of Portugal, was shot at Lisbon railway station and died minutes later. An assassin named Jeectne was killed by the crowd. Tamagnini Barbosa took over as president, with Paes having led Portugal's wartime stance and earlier revolts and cabinets.
Five Toledo men robbed a westbound Baltimore & Ohio train driver of 600 dollars in Deshler Ohio. Louis Harmon, the driver, phoned his wife who alerted Bowling Green police. the gang was arrested on arrival of the taxi in Toledo and held for witnesses.

A Berlin telegram reports the Spar tacus Group's program to secure the revolution includes arming all adult proletarians, disarming police and ruling-class members, forming a workers militia, confiscating arms and key industries, abolishing officers and parliaments, replacing authorities with Soldiers and Workmen's Councils, canceling debts, and expropriating large estates and fortunes above set thresholds.
London reports from Amsterdam that Berlin strikes have escalated with only two newspapers published and small leaflets circulated. An estimated 350,000 workers are idle amid the disruption.

On November 28 the armed guard of the steamship Monterey clashed with Mexican customs guards at Tampico. A Mexican captain was killed and a Mexican soldier mortally wounded. Barry, the American chief boatswain’s mate, was wounded but returned to his ship with his crew.
The State Department announced that the clash between the Ward liner Monterey's armed guard and Mexican soldiers at Tampico will be settled by diplomacy. Negotiations were opened between the American and Mexican governments after Mexicans attacked and wounded a Monterey crew member.
