Robbery Through Front Window At Brown Home
A thief entered John L. Brown’s house at 749 Mt Hope Avenue through a parlor window yesterday afternoon while the family was away and stole $400 in jewelry. Police were alerted after the family returned and a colored man was seen leaving before 3 o clock. The interior showed mess but the robber focused on jewelry, taking a $100 solid gold watch, a $100 cameo pin set with pearls, $75 in diamond stud bracelets, and a $50 diamond pin.
