Terribly Crushed in Dough Mixer Accident
George Hertel a 24 year old Cincinnati native working for John Armbrust in Hamilton was fatally injured when he started a dough mixer by accident. His right shoulder and two fingers were crushed and both legs were amputated below the hips. He remained conscious during removal and was taken to Mercy Hospital with poor chances of recovery. He belonged to the Bakers Union of Cincinnati.

Narrow escape as car runs over Hoffmeyer in Main Street
John Hoffmeyer a 53 year old laborer from 245 Laurel street narrowly survived a heavy touring car accident on Main Street between Sixth and Seventh. Edward Jungclass owner of Jungclass Automobile Company drove the car from Reading road and June street. the horn startled Hoffmeyer who stepped into the path before brakes could stop the vehicle. Hoffmeyer suffered a broken collar bone as the car halted with his body beneath its rear wheels.
