Special Dispatch reports Parkerburg West Virginia August 12 Judge John J Jackson United States Court and Jasper Y Moore clerk were fishing near Webster Springs when a boatman hired to handle the boat fell overboard and dragged the judge with him. The rescues failed and Jackson was wet and perilously submerged before reaching shore. Back at shore a gasoline explosion ignited a fire destroying about 500 dollars of property including the judge’s clothing. He had to buy a cheap outfit and wear it.
