Walter P. Schmick a 45 year old proprietor of the Hathaway Rubber Stamp Company at 434 Main street shot himself at his home at Boudinot and Queen City avenues after noon. He left his office saying he felt unwell and died before a physician arrived. He leaves a widow two daughters and four sons. Schmick had been in rubber stamp manufacturing for over twenty years. Motive for the suicide is undetermined.
