Modern Viking Lindstrom completes circumnavigating American continents

The Arctic adventurer Adolph Lindstrom, born Hammerfest and a crewman on Amundsen’s Gjea, sailed the Lurline from Newport News to San Francisco, becoming the only man among the Fram crew to circle the American continents by water. He recalls four Arctic winters, staged voyages, and a plan to fund another expedition, carrying his government medals and a dream of a rare northern fortune.
