She now plans to leave her husband with three children, while her husband remains heartbroken and a newspaper reports sensational developments may follow.
Henry Bronnenberg, 75, ex county commissioner and Madison County landowner, will marry Mrs Linda Perkins of Hartford Conn on August 9 at a Spiritualist camp. Despite rumors of a broken engagement he has received many letters from would be brides and the public ceremony is expected to draw thousands.
Gregorio Cortez was convicted and sentenced to fifty years in prison for the murder of Henry Schnable, a posse member, during theLower Rio Grande manhunt. He will be taken to Karnes County for trial on related charges, including the murder of Sheriff Clover of Gonzales.

Pittsfield Mass July 31 R L Fosburgh father of May Fosburgh who was shot and killed August 20 1900 withdrew all rewards offered before and replaced them with a 1500 dollar reward for arrest and conviction of the guilty parties
Four men ambushed the B O Limited from New York about four miles from Whiting Indiana. They forced the engineer to uncouple cars, dynamited the mail car twice and found no money in the express car. After mistaking a mail car for the express car they fled, leaving dynamite sticks behind as a posse pursued them.
Dr. Rudolph H. Reemelin of Cincinnati rejects the Progressive Democratic ticket offer for Governor, citing opposition to organized protest votes. He criticizes the Ohio third party effort while affirming Bryanist support and repudiating any pursuit of protest votes or votes from bolting Democrats.
The Progressive Party nominates Reemelin for governor but he refuses to run. The convention was small yet hints at losses for regulars in close counties. A Prohibitionist bolt and Groot failed to secure first place.
In Zanesville Ohio Justice Williams handled a case where O B Smith and James Wilmot once fierce enemies over a dog who fled Dresden. Each sought peace warrants but the judge mediated, and the pair shared a hotel room and rode home together the next day, ending their feud.

Findlay Ohio July 31. Sheriff Miller of Putnam County chased five robbers tied to safes in Ottawa. A coat soaked with glycerin exploded when a fuse was lit outside a barn. The blast killed a horse and left a ten foot-deep crater. The sheriff halted such experiments.
United States Marshal arrested George Ammons, the turnkey in charge of the county jail, after Topeka Joe and two companions escaped yesterday. He is charged with permitting the prisoners to escape.

Marion Indiana July 31 J G k discovered a process to manufacture gas from crude petroleum. The discovery came in a dream five years ago and a practical demonstration today. The heat produced by the new gas is four times greater than that of natural gas. The breakthrough promises great benefit to manufacturers.
Henry J. l'Hommedieu, son of the Michigan Central superintendent, was instantly killed in Ann Arbor when an express train struck him during a surveying operation in the railroad yard. He was assisting Railroad Engineer Adams at the time of the accident.
