Tragic Electric Shock Kills Four at SpuytenDuyvil
New York April 29 four workers were badly hurt and three killed when a falling telegraph pole and a steel guy wire across the third rail released a 12 000 volt arc near Spuyten Duyvil on the New York Central line. Foreman John Trumbull suffered full force shock and severe burns. John Casey Daniel Sullivan died beside the tracks and James Caffrey was badly burned and likely to die. The four others were stunned.
