Governor Deforest Richards died at his Cheyenne home at 8 o clock from acute kidney disease. Born in Charlestown New Hampshire August 6 1846 he studied at Phillips Academy then farmed in Alabama before moving to Chadron Nebraska and Douglas Wyoming where he helped establish local business interests.
