In Avondale Shugar's Food Shop a clerk named Lewis Kleine 55 of Norwood fought a bandit during a hold up. Kleine died after being shot in the temple while defending the cash, as two other robbers fled and a third fired. The store closed as volunteers rushed Kleine to General Hospital where he died. One assailant escaped. no money was taken.
