Moros Defy Americans in Jolo Attack and Ultimatum
Manila reports Moros attacked the walled city of Jolo on April 9 firing on the officers club and scattering guests at a ball. In Chicago on April 22 a suspected dynamite blast attempt at a Montgomery Ward & Co warehouse was stopped by heavy rain. A bomb cartridge, three inches long and over an inch wide, weighing about half a pound, was found in water behind the building with copper end caps and a small fuse connected to the body.
