Pittsburg April 18 There will be no strike at the American Sheet Steel Company Wood plant in McKeesport following an amicable settlement. The Amalgamated Association and company leaders signed an agreement reinstating discharged workers and restoring conditions through July 31 1901 with a plan to discuss further issues. The union will keep local organization but the company will not recognize it. Both sides claim no victory and foresee possible scale disputes next year.
