Deaths Thought Accident as Two Men Are Found in Old Opera House
Two men aged about 60 were found dead in the deserted Robinson Opera House near City Hall Cincinnati. A gas heater foul with fumes and a down phono record preceded an accidental death by possible fire or asphyxiation. Edward J. Bloomfield the English remittance man and William Ortman a Republican precinct executive were longtime cronies. Ortman had worked as a Moose Lodge member and as a watchman at the hall. Bloomfield had recently lived with Ortman. The coroner ruled it an accident though no valuables remained in the building.
