Night rider sentences filed in Obion county cases

In Gordon Illinois, the Independent Torpedo company nitroglycerin mill exploded at noon today. Charles Dewess and Moses Lantz were killed, five workmen died, two men were at work when the blast occurred. The ground was torn up for an acre and the plant left no trace remaining.
Gas Explosion Kills Three Miners at Farmington Mine
In Fairmont on April 15 a blast at Mine No. 2 of the George Creek Coal and Iron company in Farmington killed three foreign miners. The men were the only workers in the mine when the explosion started a fire. bodies had not been recovered.
