New York April 14 Private advices report that sculptress Miss Isabelle Corbley Minor has won the commission to sculpt the first bust of King Edward after the coronation in June. She will also marry Harold M. Vernon, a Lexington Kentucky native, and daughter of a Cleveland high‑value resident.
Delegates from United Brewery Workers National Union International Union of Steam Engineers and International Brotherhood of Stationary Firemen came to Washington to present briefs to the American Federation of Labor in a three cornered dispute. The AFL Executive Council met for the week to discuss the case and a decision is not expected for several days.

Indianapolis April 14 Articles of incorporation filed for the Indianapolis Northern Traction Company with a 3 500 000 capital. Directors include Charles A Baldwin Henry Moore William H Bloss Ellis C Carpenter Albert E Richey Arthur W Brady and Charles Berry all Union Traction officers. The system links Indianapolis to Logansport via Tipton Eskomo and Peru and will be operated by Union Traction once built. An Eastern banking syndicate underwrote the securities. plan arranged by Union Traction President George F McCulloch after returning from Philadelphia.
Washington April 14. The President appointed James S. Clarkson of Iowa, former First Assistant Postmaster General, as Surveyor of Customs for the port of New York.
