Committee members cover finance, membership, strike, and publication with names including R L Hughes A C Marshall J W Stoddard and others. Kirby notes Dayton enjoys favorable industrial relations with few disturbances beyond nationwide typographical union tensions.
Vienna April 14 The Emperor writes to Count Goluchowski minister of foreign affairs praising his loyal support as a second at the Algeciras conference and pledging a like service in future occasions. The Zeitung notes the foreign sovereign’s praise and questions Wessersheim’s role as Germany’s intermediary.
Bucharest on April 13 reports the Roumanian Government will expel Matuscheko the mutiny leader from the Kniaz Potemkine incident last June after yielding to police demands. Several other Russian revolutionists visiting relatives face expulsion as criticism from the liberal press grows.
London April 14 The Express reports Dr Le Grand Norton Denslow an American living in London has discovered a cure for locomotor ataxia. It notes several remarkable recoveries but says details are not yet public and will be shared with the medical profession when ready.
From Corfu telegraph in The Standard a carriage bearing King Edward and Queen Alexandra collided with a peasants cart. The royal carriage was unharmed but several peasants were injured. The King had the doctor from the British flagship attend them.
Special Dispatch reports Bowdle South Dakota buried under thirty inches of snow with ongoing heavy falls. A Milwaukee train is stalled half a mile west of Bowdle while Aberdeen experiences two days of steady rain.

Chicago report says Dowie and Voliva factions nearly settle their Zion City dispute after a day of talks. Dowie’s side claims 95 percent of Zion City property to the church and 5 percent to Dowie, with a possible $1,000,000 share for him and $19,000,000 for the church.
New York April 13 Senator Thomas C Platt said he would not seek another U S Senate term when his current one ends in 1909 He gave a somber note that he would have gratified his public office desires by then and refused further comment on any impact from the insurance investigation Newsman notes he had made up his mind long ago not to run again.
It was reported today that Mrs Chauncey Depew wife of the United States Senator will arrive in New York tomorrow from Paris where she has been visiting her mother Mrs Palmer.
St Petersburg April 13 Britain has begun vigorous negotiations for an Anglo Russian entente to complete a triple alliance with France and Russia against Germany.
