Long Beach California April 11 Mrs C C McWhinney a society leader and licensed pilot was killed when a plane she and her husband were flying crashed at Municipal Airport Mr McWhinney was slightly injured McWhinney reportedly had more than 250 flying hours and was at the controls as the aircraft nosedived from about fifty feet after a week of daily takeoffs and landings.
