Five Die as Illinois Central Depot Collapses in Aberdeen
A tornado struck Aberdeen causing the Illinois Central depot to collapse. Five people are known dead and four injured, with several others buried under debris. Relieve parties formed quickly and searched wreckage through the night. Among the injured are telegraph operator George Franklin and railroad workers Ray King and Winburn. Italian police believe Carlo Constantino, from Partinico, is the murderer of Joseph Petrosino, chief of the New York police Italian bureau, killed in Palermo on March 12.
