Mrs. Phillips formerly Mabhi Quitman, daughter of Leo Quitman, sues for divorce after alleging her husband lied about his wealth and status and assaulted her the day after their wedding. She claims he boasted the world owed him and refused to support her, striking her in the face and rendering her unconscious for hours.
Robbers entered a box car used as sleeping quarters for construction workers, held five men at gunpoint, and escaped with 86.55 after firing a shot that was deflected by a belt buckle. Victims include Georges Bouros Steve Manto Philip nen Pa Peter Capronitis and Thomas Cust narrowly avoided injury.

Henry Wurtzler age 24 of 2226 Wider Avenue Oakley was struck by a mounted policeman, Van Dohrt, en route to a fire alarm at Third and John streets. He suffered a skull fracture and was taken to the city hospital. The patrolman called the accident unavoidable.
The body of Clifford Howard, a former draftsman for architect Bernard T. Wisenall of Cincinnati, was identified yesterday by a business card found in his clothing. He was found on railroad tracks near Malvern Arkansas unconscious Sunday afternoon with head injuries from a blunt instrument and died yesterday.
Members of the Republican National Committee from New York Maryland Ohio Kentucky Illinois and others favor holding next year’s Republican convention in Cincinnati with only minor dissent. The Chamber of Commerce reports broad backing and plans to push forward with securing the event.
John E B Matthews, enraged by Minnie Helrich’s refusal to marry him, fired a revolver within twelve inches of her face striking her and then shot himself in the skull. The shot echoed as hundreds of shoppers on the Sixth Avenue street fled in terror during the incident.
Coroner Foertmeyer finds the death of locomotive engineer Thomas E. Metz from a Beech Street crossing collision was caused by failure to flag signals and ignored safety rules by a foreman to save minutes. Metz lived at 15 Freeman Avenue in St Bernard.
